Pirate Paul, the salty sea dog!
Well, shiver me timbers! Global’s very own Paul Breen Turner has recently returned from a boating course in (supposedly “wonderful, wonderful”) Copenhagen, in sunny old Denmark.
DJ and former land-lubber Paul (now known as Captain Pugturner) has always been interested in maritime shenanigans, and with his new-found sea-legs, will be splicing the mainsail and swabbing the poopdeck until the scurvy bilge rats here in the Global Studios are man (or woman, sorry Lloydi) enough to join him on his next outing to the Southern Seas. It’ll be a cold day in hell, me hearties.
Bristling with tall tales of salty old sea dogs and barnacle-bottomed belles, Paul returned to the Costa del Sol with a jig in his step, silver buckles on his shoes and some kind of certificate of expert boatmanship and a true knowledge of how to prepare his Futtock Shrouds and hoisting his jolly Rodger.
If you can think of any more stupid pirate gags, write in! There’s no prize, though.
Better still, tune in to Global Radio on 96.5fm or listen live on-line to hear Jolly Jack Tar Paul’s seafaring exploits, ye varmints.
