Brit Arrested In €17 Million Time Share Scam+

A Costa Del Sol timeshare scam has duped more than 500 families out of €17 million.  Detectives have been building a case after 30 victims came together and reported the fraud to a legal adviser in Benalmadena.  A firm in Velez-Malaga is being investigated for laundering cash obtained through the scam, which involved cash deals for time share properties which didn’t exist.

Spanish police have arrested 36 people including an as yet unnamed British man.  They have swooped on five properties and seized luxury cars including Ferraris, over €100,000 in cash, a luxury yacht, watches, and jewellry.
