Animal rights activists are celebrating the news that there will be no ponies at this year´s Alhaurin De La Torre fair.

Ponies Banned From Alhaurin Fair

The San Juan fair runs from the 22nd to the 26th of June.  Festivities councillor Mario Perez said that the attractions had been removed from the list of those allowed at the fair by popular demand, as the council strives to make the town’s fair keep up with the times and the peoples’ desire

“We want to create a fun, modern fair with something for all that also respects animals,” Perez said.
