Weekend Weather Warning – the alert level is amber for the Costa Del Sol this weekend
Weekend Weather Warning
The national Spanish weather agency AEMET has confirmed that there is an amber weather warning in place for the Costa Del Sol this weekend, the 3rd and 4th December. Following the severe weather that was experienced last weekend under a yellow alert, AEMET suggests that residents prepare for more bad weather on Saturday and Sunday.
The warning system has three colour codes. Yellow is the least severe, then amber, and finally red being the most dangerous weather conditions.
Amber Alert
There is an increased likelihood of bad weather affecting people in the concerned area, which could potentially disrupt people’s plans and possibly cause travel delays, road and rail closures, interruption to power and the potential risk to life and property. Amber means that you need to be prepared to change plans and protect themselves, their family and community from the impacts of the severe weather
