Heat Warning On The Costa Del Sol. Spain’s national weather agency has issued a yellow alert as the Terral wind once again pushes temperatures up.

Heat Warning On The Costa Del Sol

Spain’s national weather agency AEMET has issued a yellow weather warning this afternoon for heat. The warning is in place between until 9pm. The Terral wind is pushing temperatures up again, with the weather agency expecting highs of 37c on the Costa Del Sol. Tomorrow should remain high tomorrow though there are currently no weather warnings in place.

With the high temperatures comes an increased risk of fires which have been known to devastate areas of the Costa Del Sol in the last. There is also an increased risk to animals, as pet owners are being reminded to provide shade and water for their animals.

Emergency services are on standby to deal with fires caused by the high temperatures.

Types Of Weather Warnings

Red: Take action. Extreme weather is expected. Red means people in the concerned areas should take action now to keep themselves and others safe from the impact of the weather. Widespread damage, travel and power disruption and risk to life is likely.
