New Normal For Andalucia. The entire province is now at health alert level zero with almost all restrictions removed.
New Normal For Andalucia
Every province in Andalucia has been moved to level zero, “the new normal”, by the regional government today. This will be reviewed in seven days when the accumulated incidence rate of each health district within the provinces will be evaluated. Most restrictions have been lifted, including limits on the number of people in restaurants and bars, and a removal of restricted opening hours. Facemasks still remain mandatory indoors.
Costa Del Sol Incidence Rate
The incidence rate for Malaga Province as a whole has risen slightly today to 40.2 cases per 100,000 people. The Costa Del Sol health district has a 14 day accumulated incidence rate of 50.1 cases per 100,000 people, a rise of 4 points in the last 24 hours. The Malaga City health district has seen a rise to 36.3 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last 24 hours 98 new cases of the virus have been reported in Malaga Province, a sharp rise from the 39 new cases recorded yesterday. In the last 7 days there have been 15 new hospital admissions, with one new patient admitted to intensive care.
The New Normal
Last week the Costa Del Sol health district moved to alert level zero. Bars, restaurants, and retailers have welcomed the removal of limits to the numbers of customers and their opening hours. Face masks remain mandatory indoors.
