The Spanish coast guard has mounted an operation to rescue two men who were spotted clinging to a sinking dingy in the Strait Of Gibraltar.  Two helicopters were involved in the rescue mission.  They were unable to help three other men who died at sea.  Their bodies have been transferred to Tarifa.  Another man is also believed to have been lost.

The men are thought to have been migrants making the crossing to Spain from North Africa.  So far this year, over 3000 people have died trying to reach Europe.
