Witnesses Sought After Benalmadena Hit And Run – the wife of a British expat is recovering following a 100kph crash on the A7
Witnesses Sought After Benalmadena Hit And Run
27 year old Zamara Rodriguez was riding her scooter near Benalmadena on the A7 when she was knocked off by a driver who failed to stop. The crash happened on the 10th of October at 6pm near the Arroyo De La Miel junction. Mrs. Rodriguez has suffered serious injuries including friction burns on 35% of her body and a broken elbow. She is also being treated for injuries to her face.
Grey BMW
Zamara Rodriguez is the wife of Manchester born cage fighter Christian Holley. He said “She went flying through the green posts by the turn off. Witnesses who pulled over to help her said it was an old grey BMW, but the road cameras can’t see the registration number because they said the accident was ‘too far away’. We need to find this person and get justice.”
Appeal For Witnesses
Mr. Holley is appealing for witnesses to come forward and speak to the local police. He says “I’ve spoken to the chief of police and forensic detectives are searching cameras off the motorway to try to get the car. But we want to do all we can to find whoever did this to Zamara and stop him from doing it to anybody else.”
Recouperating At Home
Speaking from her home in Fuengirola Zamara Rodriguez said “I was so lucky I fell where I did, where there were no cars coming to hit me again, it could have been so much worse. If we don’t find this driver I think it will happen to someone else. Please help us if you know anything.”
If you have any information or witnessed the crash, please contact the police.
