Young Girl Dead After Boat Capsized Off The Spanish Coast

Three people have been confirmed dead after a boat capsized in waters near the island of Alboran, which is between Melilla on the African coast and Motril on the Spanish coast.  The victims, who include a ten year old girl, are all migrants travelling from the African continent.

Navy Rescue

A Spanish Navy vessel carried out a rescue operation after the boat carrying the migrants capsized.  They rescued 39 people from the water.  The body of the young girl was recovered at the time, and the bodies of an older man and woman were discovered a day later.
