British Woman Raped In Puerto Banus – Spanish police are investigating claims by a British tourist that she was raped by a taxi driver as she tried to return to her hotel on Sunday morning
British Woman Raped In Puerto Banus
A British woman has told police in Puerto Banus that she has been raped by a local taxi driver. She left her friends in a nightclub at 4am on Sunday to get a taxi back to her hotel, and says that the man drove her to wasteland where he raped her before abandoning her in a street close to her hotel.
She has been unable to give the police a description of the man, or recall his taxi license number. Her memory lapses are being blamed on alcohol consumption. Police have said that they are taking her accusations “very seriously” and have launched an investigation.
The victim, who is in her 20s, has now returned to her home in the UK.
