Bull Gores Matador

Bull Gores Matador – a 19 year old Matador has been gored by a raging bull during an event in Seville.  Andres Roca Rey was impaled in the rear by the bull´s horn as he fought it.

Peruvian teen Rey turned his back on the injured bull, which then charged him despite being stabbed with blood pouring from it´s neck and back.  The bull tossed the matador up into the air and threw him around like a rag doll.  He eventually broke free and curled up into a ball until a crew were able to enter the La Maestranza bullring and pull him to safety.  Despite the blood, Andres Roca Rey was not seriously injured and hopes to return to the bullring soon.

Support for bull fighting is dwindling here on the Costa Del Sol with some of the area´s bull rings now sitting empty awaiting redevelopment.   A poll by Ipsos MORI for World Animal Protection showed just 19% of Spaniards aged between 19-65 backing the custom, down from one third in 2013.
