No Covid Monitors On Costa Del Sol Beaches

The Junta De Andalucia has confirmed that there will not be any  “covid monitors” employed on Costa Del Sol beaches this summer.  Last year over 3000 people were employed as the government spent €24 million ensuring people complied with coronavirus prevention rules.

This year there is no need for the additional people to monitor the beaches.  Spokesman Elias Bendodo says “We believe that Andalusians are aware, and are very responsible when it comes to protecting themselves and continuing to avoid infections. Last year the summer season practically coincided with the first wave and it was necessary that there were assistants to ensure compliance with the rules. This year it will not be necessary because we have all become aware of the seriousness and the importance of protecting ourselves and complying with these rules.
