Spain Day is held on the 12th October, with a bank holiday on Monday 13th in 2025. It marks the arrival of Spanish backed explorer Christopher Columbus in the Americas.  The day is a national holiday in Spain, which is celebrated with parades attended by the Royal Family and senior government in Madrid.  Locally some towns will have a feria or concerts with music and dancing.
