Description: La Cala Lions Annual Waiters’ Race returns to La Cala de Mijas on the 28th March at 3pm.  La Cala de Mijas is set for an afternoon of fun, community spirit and friendly competition as the La Cala Lions host their much anticipated Annual Waiters’ Race.

Sponsored by Mijas Town Hall, this popular annual event promises entertainment for the whole family. Visitors are encouraged to arrive any time after 11am and enjoy browsing the delightful Artisan Market stalls, where a variety of handcrafted goods and local products will be available to purchase. Additionally, a children’s activity area will be set up to help entertain all members of the family

The highlight of the afternoon will see local waiters and waitresses take on the ultimate hospitality challenge. Competitors will race from the heart of La Cala to the Torreón on the beach, carefully carrying a tray holding a glass of water, a croissant and a cup of coffee. The rules? No running. No spills. And steady hands all the way to the finish line!

With obstacles along the route and plenty of cheering spectators, it’s guaranteed to be an entertaining spectacle. La Cala Lions will award medals and prizes to the winners, celebrating skill, balance and composure under pressure.
