Malaga Bans Circus
Malaga is one of almost 300 Spanish towns and cities which have now banned circuses which use live animals in their shows. This reflects changing attitudes towards animal welfare here in Spain. A local animal charity says that this is a step in the right direction, but there is more work to be done. It´s thought that there are still between 80 and 100 circuses in Spain which still use wild and sometimes endangered animals.
