Zombie Drug Warning To Brits

Zombie Drug Warning To Brits – criminals are using a powerful drug in Spain to target holidaymakers

Zombie Drug Warning To Brits

Scopolamine is a drug from Columbia which can reduce free will and wipe memories, leading some to describe it as a zombie drug.  Also known as Devil’s Breath, the drug is made from the Borrachero Tree in Columbia where criminals have used it effectively against victims for several years.  The drug has also been used as a truth serum in the 1920s.

Now police say that they are aware of some criminal activity in Spain involving this powerful drug, and are warning Brits on both the mainland and the Balearic Islands to be mindful of this.  Criminals use the drug to spike a drink, and then empty the victim’s bank accounts or even go to their apartments and hotels and steal their valuables.  The victims often have no memory of the events.

Symptoms

Those who have been dosed with this drug will show symptoms including nausea, drowsiness, incoherent speech, and confusion.  Anyone displaying these symptoms should be taken to hospital immediately, and the police should be informed.

Medicine

The drug scopolomine is used in medical circles as it reduces the secretions of certain organs in the body, such as the stomach and intestines. Scopolamine also decreases nerve signals that trigger your stomach to vomit.  It is used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by motion sickness or from anesthesia given during surgery.  Scopolamine is also used to treat certain stomach or intestinal problems, muscle spasms, and Parkinson-like conditions.
