Return to Eldorado, Episode 9: Interview with Maria Sanchez
Maria Sanchez was 16 years old when she auditioned for the BBC’s soap in the sun. Living with her family in Spain, she was unaware just how much media coverage and public interest there was in Eldorado back in the UK. In this interview, Maria talks about how she got the part of Maria Fernandez in Eldorado and her relationships with other key cast members.
Find out what Maria did when Eldorado was suddenly axed only a year after it began. In this interview she talks with Dave James about her change in career direction, and her life now. Maria has also allowed us to use some images which she saved from her time on Eldorado, and some newspaper clipping from 1992 and 1993.
