This village in the Serranía de Ronda mountains is looking to recover the area’s great wine-making tradition with the Grape Juice Festival. Following the harvest, the locals bring some of the grape juice obtained in the traditional way and bottled in carafes to be distributed at the festival.
On the last Saturday of November, the village square celebrates its festival dedicated to this product, offering members of the public a glass of recently fermented grape juice, served with one of the most traditional dishes of this mountainous area, Las Migas (fried breadcrumbs).
Hundreds of people join the inhabitants of this village on this festive occasion that has become one of the most eagerly-anticipated events in the region, since this is one of the few places where you can buy 100% traditionally made grape juice.
