Blaze Destroys Seven Bars In Montemar

A fire has torn through eight establishments on Calle Salvador Allende in Montemar.  The blaze broke out at around 5am on Sunday (24th August), destroying 7 bars and restaurants and a supermarket.  Seven firefighters and three fire vehicles were able to extinguish the blaze which seems to have started inside a kebab shop.  No injuries have been reported.

7 bars and a supermarket were destroyed by the fire.

Police believe the fire may have been started deliberately, and are currently examining the scene.  No further information has yet been given.
