Body Of Missing Expat Discovered In Mijas

Search teams have found the body of a missing Welshman, who disappeared at the weekend.  83 year old Glyn Jones had dementia.  A  team of 50 people. including the Guardia Civil, the Civil Protection, fire fighters, and volunteers had been searching the area around Mijas Pueblo.  Mr. Jones’s body was found in a ravine near the Coin Road above Mijas.

Glyn Jones has lived in Mijas for 15 years with his wife Barbara.  He was a popular local figure and well known in the area.  Cath John posted “Very sad ending.  Rest in peace by little Welsh butty xxx”.  Alice Haigh said “Everyone around here knew Glyn, he lived near the town hall and was always a great character.  Happy and very cheeky.  We will all miss him”.
