Compulsory Covid Passports In Andalucia
Today the “covid passport” has become compulsory for access to all hospitality and entertainment venues in Andalucia. Anyone wishing to enter a bar, restaurant, nightclub, or hotel must now be able to show proof of complete vaccination, or a negative covid-19 test. The new regulations were made official with the publication of the BOJA, and remain in place until the 15th January 2022.
Alongside the certificate proving vaccination, a negative covid-19 test will also be accepted. A PCR test must have been done within 72 hours, and an antigen test must be less than 42 hours old. Those who can prove that they have recovered from coronavirus within the last 6 months will not need a certificate or negative test.
Passport For Inside Only
The new rules won’t apply to children under 12, or to those working in the establishments. The official document only references the inside spaces of venues, therefore a covid passport should not be needed to use terraces and outside areas.
Businesses can use a QR code scanner on the Salud Andalucia app to verify certificates. Customers can get a “covid certificate” from the Clic Salud website, through the Salud Andalucia app, or at a local health centre.
Covid Passports For Health Centres
Recently the TSJA also approved the request by the Junta de Andalucia to introduce covid passports for access to health centres and care homes.
