Costa Del Sol Hotel Stays Recover

Hotel occupancy numbers on the Costa Del Sol have recovered and returned to pre-pandemic levels.  Spain’s national statistics institute has published official figures for July this year which show that there were just over 2.5 million overnight stays in Malaga Province.

Last year’s number for July was 1.8 million overnight stays in Malaga Province, whilst in July 2019 before the pandemic hit the number was 2.5 million.

The figures also confirm that foreign visitors are returning to the Costa Del Sol in huge numbers.  Last month there were 1.5 million registered foreign visitors, and 950,000 Spanish visitors to the area.
