€3000 Fines For Littering

In an effort to combat littering, the San Pedro council have put up notices warning of fines of up to €3000 for anyone caught littering in the town.  The notice also reminds residents of the times when litter can be thrown out, which are between 8pm and 11pm from April to October and between 7pm and 11pm during the rest of the year.

The notice reads: “Whoever throws rubbish on the street or outisde of the containers and bins, or tries to throw out the rubbish at the wrong time, will face a fine between €751 and €3,000.”
