Government Gets Green Light For Covid Passports
Andalucia’s Superior Court of Justice has approved an ammended proposal from the Regional Government, which will allow the introduction of “covid passports” for entry to medical centres and nursing homes. The original proposal was rejected last week on the basis that there was no end date to the regulation. The re-submitted request now has an end date of 15th January 2022.
The court agreed that the passport “is necessary in order to prevent people in hospitals and residences from becoming infected, and the serious consequences that they would suffer” . The new rule is introduced immediately, as the BOJA has already been published.
Covid Passports For Nightclubs
Following this approval of the first use of “covid passports” in Andalucia, the government are now able to explore the possibility of a similar scheme for nightclubs and hospitality venues.
