New Leisure Centre on the Costa Del Sol – 4000 jobs are to be created in Torremolinos
Leisure Centre – New to the Costa Del Sol
Building will start on a new Costa Del Sol leisure complex at the end of the summer. Intu own leisure and shopping centres throughout Europe, including the Trafford Centre in Manchester. Intu Costa Del Sol will generate 4000 new jobs in leisure and retail when it opens in January 2017.
Facilities
Alongside big name shopping brands, the complex will feature a central lake with a wave machine for surfing. It will also have a huge artificial ski slope. Intu executive Salvador Arenere said there will also be a karting track, an ice rink, and a ferris wheel.
Access
The new Costa Del Sol leisure complex is to be built close to the Palacio de Congresos on a 200,000 square metre plot. Access to the development will be via the A7. Intu have pledged €3million to improve local roads and access.
Investment
Intu are thought to be investing €550 ,in the new Costa Del Sol leisure complex. €20 million of this will go to Torremolinos town hall to cover fees and licenses.
