British driver Peter Cackett is warning expats about a new technique being used by criminals to rob motorists on the Costa Del Sol.  Mr. Cackett was driving near Malaga, when a passenger in a car travelling in the opposite direction threw eggs at his windscreen.

He then noticed a second car parked further up the road waiting for him, which was waiting for him to stop and clear his windscreen.   Mr. Cackett says “The important thing is not to put your wipers on, if you do then your whole windscreen will be obscured, and don’t stop to clean it off, that’s what they want you to do, they then offer to help you clean it and whilst you are pre-occupied they rob you in what ever way they can.”

Police are investigating this incident, and are asking anyone who has experienced a similar incident to contact them.
