Obese Man Crushes Donkey – a 23 stone man is being taken to court by a local animal charity for crushing a donkey to death. The 38 year old Spanish man posed grinning on a five month old donkey at the nativity display in Lucena, Cordoba, in 2014. The donkey was injured and left unable to walk, it was put down by a vet two days later. It´s alleged that the man also kicked the donkey´s mother in the face.
An initial investigation into the case was dropped due to lack of evidence, but the Refugio del Burrito, based in Malaga, has now filed a private case using a photograph which has come to light as evidence. If found guilty the man could face a fine and up to 18 months in prison.
