Rare Sight For Stargazers On Wednesday Morning
On Wednesday morning there will be a rare planetary alignment visible from the Costa Del Sol. A phonemenon which won’t occur again for another ten years. Spanish meteorologist Mario Picazo has described this unusual event saying “There will be a great morning alignment of planets encompassing Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune and Saturn. This happens when the planets approach one side of the Sun at the same time and appear together, allowing us to see it as if we were looking at the solar system from above.”
Best Time To See The Planets
Unfortunately not all six planets will be visible to the naked eye. You’ll need a telescope or binoculars to see Neptune and Uranus. The best time to see this astrological event will be just before dawn on Wednesday morning (28th August 2028). It may be easy to distinguish Jupiter because it will be the brightest object after the Moon in the sky. The other planets, however, are a little fainter. One of the differences is that the planets, unlike the stars, don’t twinkle.
