Netflix will be filming parts of the new series of The Crown near Marbella next week.  The highly anticipated 5th series of the show will pick up the story in the 1990s, introducing a new cast.  Scenes will be shot in and around Puerto Banus, and at a luxury home in La Zagaleta near Marbella.  Vladimir Putin, Rod Stewart, and Hugh Grant are all thought to have homes on the development.

Previous Seasons Filmed In Malaga

This isn’t the first time that The Crown has been filmed on the Costa Del Sol.  In season three the Palacio de Ferias in Torremolinos was used as a 1960’s airport set.  In the fourth series Netflix used the roof of the AC Malaga Palacio hotel to film scenes of a crowd welcoming Charles and Diana to Brisbane in Australia.
