2016 Breaks Tourist Records

Official figures released by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation show that 74 million foreign visitors came to Spain in 2016.  That figure shows a 4% increase on the previous year, and breaks every record for visitor numbers.

Taleb Rifa, the secretary of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation says that this increase is because Spain is “doing the right things” in terms of marketing and offering the best travel experiences.   In the last twelve months, foreign visitors have boosted the economy in Spain with a €60 billion spend..
