Coastline Battered By Storms

Storms returned to the Costa Del Sol this week, bringing yet more damage to the area.  The beaches between San Pedro and Las Chapas seem to have been the worst hit.  An orange weather alert for high waves and strong winds was in place yesterday.  Fishing fleets were kept in port due to the dangerous conditions.

Restaurants have had furniture and facilities damaged.  Showers on the beaches have been destroyed.  Some chiringuitos’ windows have been smashed by the bad weather.  These are now trying to repair and reopen in time for the beginning of the tourist season.

So far this year the bad weather and storms have caused millions of euros worth of damage on the Costa Del Sol.  You can read more here.
