Drug Traffickers Killed In Boat Crash

A boat has collided with a Spanish Agencia Tributaria vessel in the Strait Of Gibraltar.  The boat was carrying a gang of drug traffickers.  They performed a sharp turn about 11 miles off the coast of Algeciras and their boat capsized.  Three Spanish men and a Moroccan man were thrown overboard.  The men had already died before their bodies were pulled aboard the Spanish boat.  The gang had been transporting large amounts of hashish between Morocco and Algeciras.

Deepest Condolences

Javier Torre, the Cadiz deputy leader, confirmed a ‘full and comprehensive’ investigation would now be launched into the incident.

“I have the deepest condolences for the families of the four people who have died in this accident,” Torre said. “It is a loss that highlights the dangers and the problems of drug trafficking networks operating in the Strait of Gibraltar. We must continue to work hard in our fight against drug trafficking.”
