Schools Closed Due To Flooding – the Junta De Andalucia has announced that some schools will be closed on Monday 5th December

Schools Closed Due To Flooding

Due to adverse weather conditions many schools in Andalucia will be closed on Monday 5th December.  The Ministry Of Education of the Junta De Andalucia has announced that all state operated schools in the following areas will be closed:

  • Mijas Pueblo
  • Cartama
  • Estepona
  • Manilva
  • Casares

Parents are advised to contact schools directly if further clarification is needed.

Severe Flooding

This weekend the Costa Del Sol has suffered it’s worst floods since 2016.  The floods have claimed the life of a young woman in Estepona, and left many without power and transport.  You can read more about this and see pictures of the damage here.
