Spanish Leaders React To Manchester Terror Attack
The Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy has tweeted his condemnation of the terrorist attack which claimed the lives of 22 people at a pop concert in Manchester. The PM said ““I condemn the attack in Manchester. My thoughts are with the families of the deceased victims and I wish speedy recovery to the injured. MR”
Pablo Iglesias is the leader of Podemos. He expressed solidarity with the victims in this tweet “Our solidarity with the victims of the bombing in Manchester. Counter-terrorism: The rule of law, democracy and human rights.”
The leader of the PSEO Pedro Sanchez called for unity. “Impacted by the attack in Manchester. My affection for the victims and their families. Unite to curb such fanaticism.”
Pop star Ariana Grande has just finished a concert at the Manchester Arena on Monday 22nd May. Explosions ripped through an exit tunnel as fans were leaving the venue. 22 people have been confirmed dead, including young children. 59 others were injured in the blast. Terror group ISIS have claimed responsibility for the attack which was carried out by a lone suicide bomber.
