British Girl Dies In Mijas.  A 9 year old girl has passed away after a severe reaction to an ice cream.

British Girl Dies In Mijas

A 9 year old British girl has died whilst on holiday in Mijas.  She was taken ill at a cafe on Friday, the staff called emergency services.  The girl was rushed to hospital in Marbella, then transferred to a Malaga hospital as her condition worsened.  Doctors were unable to stabilise her, and she passed away on Monday afternoon.

A past mortem has shown that the girl, who has not yet been named, died from anaphylactic shock.  This an extreme allergic reaction, believed to have been caused by milk and nuts in an ice cream.  An investigation is ongoing.
