Residents of Mijas, Mijas Pueblo, and La Cala can now be fined up to €3000 if caught using public bins incorrectly.  Police are specifically looking for those who block roads by dumping waste, and people using the bins to dump anything toxic, hazardous, or “special urban waste”.

Officers will be patrolling the areas, on the lookout for offenders.  The Town Hall is also planning an information campaign to educate residents on the correct use of the bins.
