Costa Del Sol E-Scooter Riders Facing Strict New Rules

New rules for e-scooter riders are being introduced on the 1st of October on the Costa Del Sol.

• Riders must be over 15 years old to use an e-scooter on public highways.
• At night and at times of poor visibility a high vis jacket must be worn
• Lights must be turned on at all times

Failure to comply with these new regulations could incur fines of up to €200.  These new rules are in addition to those introduced earlier in the year, which include mandatory registration and insurance for e-scooters.
