Constitution Day.  A public holiday celebrating the approval of the Spanish Constitution by the Spanish people in 1978.  Because the day falls on Sunday, Monday 7th December will be a public holiday.

The 6th of December is a public holiday in Spain, celebrating the country’s transition to democracy.  Constitution day marks the anniversary of the approval of the Spanish Constitution by the Spanish people in 1978.  The day is seen by many as the start of the December holidays.
