Driving License Deadline Extended
The Spanish government has extended the deadline for Brits living in Spain to get a Spanish driving license. The new deadline is the 30th April 2022. The news is being welcomed though the British Embassy says it’s still not long enough. British drivers registered as living in Spain before 1st January 2021 can continue to drive with a British license until the 30th April this year.
Spanish Driving Test
Brits who moved to Spain after the 1st January 2021 can drive with a British license for six months, before needing to take both a written and practical Spanish driving test. The British Embassy in Madrid says it is working hard to reach an agreement with the Spanish Government to allow British drivers to exchange their licenses without having to take a Spanish driving test.
