Amber Weather Alert Today. Spain’s national weather agency has placed the Costa Del Sol on amber alert for heavy rain today.

An amber weather alert is in place for the Costa Del Sol right now. The amber weather alert is for torrential rain today. Up to 90 litres of rainfall per square metre could be measured during the alert. Emergency services are not reporting any serious incidents at the moment, but are advising caution when travelling. The warning is in place until 3pm today (Monday 14th March 2022). Amber alert is the second most severe of the three weather warning levels.

The heavy rainfall is being welcomed as local reservoirs have extremely low water levels and experts are warning of drought conditions.
