Local Lad Completes Half Marathon For Ukraine
20 year old local lad Paulo White Muñoz has completed a half marathon distance sponsored walk, raising more than €700 for people affected by the war in Ukraine. Paulo has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and was deeply afffected by the plight of the Ukrainian people. He decided it was important for his own mental health to do something positive to help.
On Saturday (30th May) along with his father Carlos White and family friend Graham Hill, Paulo walked from the Sunset Beach Hotel to the Maria Zambrano shopping centre in Malaga. Dressed in the Ukrainian national colours the trio completed the 22km walk in just over 4 hours.
Paulo completed the half marathon with his father and a family friend.
The total amount raised so far is €661. Paulo has set a target of €1000 and will keep his Just Giving page active until the end of May to allow more people to donate. All of the money raised is being handled independently by The Salvation Army. If you would like to contribute please click here.
