See Spectacular Shooting Stars During November On The Costa Del Sol
If you’ve never seen a shooting star, that could be about to change. The Leonid meteor shower is one of the most vibrant and spectacular events to be seen in the night sky. It has been recurring for centuries, when the Earth passes through a field of debris left behind by the comet Tempel-Tuttle . As the debris burns up in our atmosphere, it leaves bright trails with explosions of light and colour.

The shooting stars will be visible until the 30th November.
20 Shooting Stars An Hour
The meteor shower will be visible from the Costa Del Sol until the 30th November. At it’s peak on the 17th November (at around 7pm) there could be as many as 20 shooting stars per hour. The moon will be in it’s “waning phase” at around 6% illumination, so it will not detract from the spectacle.
The best viewing places will be away from built up areas where there is less light and fewer obstructions. You can view the shooting stars with the naked eye, there is no risk.
