Storm Claudia Helps Reservoirs Recover. Storms and torrential rain last weekend have boosted water levels in Malaga Province’s main reservoirs after a summer of water shortages.

Storm Claudia Helps Reservoirs Recover
Water levels at the reservoirs which supply Malaga Province and the Costa Del Sol have been boosted by the heavy rain from Storm Claudio at the weekend. This is the first notable rise in water levels since May. Water reserves have been boosted by 4 million cubic metres, a figure which is likely to double by the end of the week due to runoffs.
The reservoir which supplies most of the Costa Del Sol has seen the biggest increase in water levels. La Concepcion water levels are now at an impressive 58.06%.of capacity.
The Embalse Conde De Guadalhorce which supplies Malaga city has increased to 43.73%.
La Vinuela reservoir supplies water to 14 towns and 220,000 people in the Axarquia area. Today the amount of water is at 42.42% of capacity.
