Torremolinos Woman Jailed For Animal Cruelty
The former head of a Torremolinos based animal shelter has been sent to jail for three yeas and nine months. Carmen Marin has also been fined €20,000
2800 Dogs Killed
Carmen Marin arranged the killing of an estimated 2,800 dogs using drugs which would have caused agonising pain, the court was told. She would then continue to collect council payments for treatment and drugs which were not being administered. Euthanasia drugs found at the shelter, along with witness statements, were presented amongst the evidence by the prosecution.
