Spain’s national union for taxi drivers has called a 24 hour strike, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday the 29th November) until 6am on Thursday.  Fedetaxi has called for the strike to protest about the distribution and issuing of new private hire licenses.  The union is also demanding restrictions be placed on services like Uber and Cabify.

The head of the union has said that some taxi services will be operating at Malaga airport, but travellers should still expect long queues and delays.  Taxi services in the main Costa Del Sol towns will not be operating at all during the strike.
