Alhaurin Prison Hit By Covid Outbreak.  19 prisoners have tested positive for coronavirus as prison bosses say situation is now under control.

Alhaurin Prison Hit By Covid Outbreak

A covid outbreak has hit the Alhaurin El Grande prison.  19 inmates have tested positive for the virus and are now in isolation units.  Prison management have issued a statement saying that the situation is under control and there is no need for the public to be concerned.

The infections are affecting three modules within the prison.  Almost all of the prisoners are fully vaccinated and those who have tested positive are not experiencing severe symptoms.  Staff and healthcare visitors are tested for coronavirus every day.
