Andalucia Restrictions Remain In Phase One
Andalucia’s Health Minister has confirmed that there will be no major changes to the current coronavirus restrictions. Jesús Aguirre said yesterday evening that the region is still not ready to advance to phase two of the plan to ease restrictions. Another meeting will be held in two weeks to re-evaluate the situation.
Bars And Restaurants
One change to the restrictions has been announced though. Bars and restaurants with terraces will now be able to remain open until 1am. However, no food or drink can be served after midnight and no new customers will be allowed to enter the premises after this time.
Vaccine Rollout Reaches 8 Million
The vaccine rollout progress in Andalucia has been praised by the Health Minister. “The vaccine cover is progressing at a good pace, reaching this week the eight-million-dose mark” he said. Though pressure on hospitals is decreasing, Malaga has seen a slight increase in the number of patients admitted. Jesus Aguire explained “we will remain cautious when it comes to relaxing health measures, adapting the opening hours of certain activities to the reality and characteristics of our region in the summer season”.
