Two British men are now in police custody following a dramatic car chase along the Golden Mile last night.  A group of British men had been partying at the famous Champagne spray at the Ocean Club in Puerto Banus.  They were asked to leave the venue after a fight.  The six men, who have all been described as drunk by witnesses, got into a black Audi Q6 and drove into a group of pedestrians.  .

Police Chase

An undercover police car set off in pursuit of the Audi which was speeding along the Golden Mile.  The driver then performed a U turn before driving into oncoming traffic and colliding with six cars. A Guardia Civil car rammed  the Audi and brought it to a halt.

One of the cars was carrying a family, including a 7 week old baby who is being treated at the Marbella hospital.  The baby’s injuries are not life threatening. Several other people were also injured in the crash, and are now being treated at Marbella hospital.

The video below contains some disturbing footing of the crash on the Golden Mile.
