Brits Caught Shining Lasers At Planes
Three pilots have reported dangerous lasers dazzling them as they brought planes in to land at Malaga airport. Police traced the lasers to a hotel in Torremolinos, where they have identified a 41 year old British man and his 15 year old son. The pair have been targeting planes with laser pens from their hotel room.

Fines
The fines for breaching safety laws could run to €595,000 for the pair of holidaying Brits. National Police confiscated two laser pens and questioned the father and son, who have not yet been formally arrested.
A spokesperson said “There has been a lot of publicity recently about the dangers of pointing laser pens at aircraft. If a pilot is dazzled even momentarily it could be catastrophic. It may seem like a bit of fun for this father and son, but they would no doubt be aware of the dangers and they have shown no appreciation for the potential consequences of their actions”.
