Yesterday we published an update to the stage two restrictions coming into effect tonight.  There has been confusion amongst news outlets as to whether or not bars and restaurants could remain open between 6pm and 8pm.  Today the Junta De Andalucia has clarified the rules, saying that only cafeterias may remain open and they may not sell alcohol.  Bars and restaurants must close for this two hour period.

  • Curfew will be from 11pm until 6am
  • Bars and restaurants must close at 6pm and may re-open from 8pm until 10.30pm
  • Ice cream parlours and chocolate shops may open all day, until 10.30pm
  • Cafeterias may open all day, until 10.30pm (but must not sell alcohol between 6pm and 8pm=
  • Home delivery services may be provided until 11.30pm but the deadline for placing orders is set at 10.30pm.

On Christmas Eve and New Years Eve the curfew has been pushed back to 1.30am to allow family members to travel home from celebrations.  Travel outside of Andalucia will be permitted to see family between the 23rd December and the 6th January.  Numbers at social gatherings will be increased to a limit of 10 on the 24th, 25th, and 31st December, and the 1st of January.
